Widow Care
IHH offers the opportunity to sponsor a widow and her family to help provide basic necessities such as food, nutrition and education.
It is through sponsorship that we show Christ’s love to the widows and their children.
The widows identified for the program reside in mud-hut villages in the Northern Region of Ghana, West Africa.
For $200 per household per year, you can provide a widow and her family with the following:
If you desire, you can send gifts and items to the widow you are sponsoring. You are also invited to join IHH on a short-term mission trip that will include a visit to your sponsored widow.
In addition to the sponsorship program, IHH participates in providing food to other widows in the area. IHH partners with churches in the area harvest maize on about 15 acres of land. The maize is distributed to the widows, along with bags of rice, during the lean season between harvests. IHH mission teams help deliver the maize to local widows.
