Fresh Water

Picture
The availability of clean drinking water continues to be one of the most serious physical needs for many in remote areas of the world, including Ghana.

IHH has provided funds toward the construction of two wells in Ghana as well as pipeline projects in Ethiopia and Ghana.

When IHH sponsors the digging of a water well or the construction of a pipeline, the coordination is done with in-country resources, which also helps to strengthen the local economy by providing jobs.

Most importantly, when people receive fresh water in their community, they see benefit of the well coming from the local church. Usually residing in remote areas with little chance of hearing the gospel, villagers will come to the dedication, see God's people at work, and hear the good news of Jesus Christ. They have the opportunity to understand not only the physical benefit of clean water, but also the spiritual need to draw from the river of life, which comes from God through Christ's sacrifice for all people on the cross.

The average cost of digging a new water well or constructing a new pipeline is $5,000 - $20,000. Visit the Donate page to get involved with this crucial ministry.

Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. - John 4:14
